Description

Hi,

When compiling the attached file foo.hs, the texts of the view are not shown (column titles and cell contents). I tried to obtain the smallest example program, but it is a little big. Anyway, when removing ">>= toCalendarTime" the program works ok. Also, the similar program foo2.hs works ok too. And, when running the executable of foo.hs as root, the program stops with the message:

No protocol specified. foo: Cannot initialize GUI.

I'm using 0.9.13 release compiled with GHC 6.8.2 on debian.

I ran the foo.hs program without any problem. If this program stops working when you remove the call to the toCalendarTime then that is probably the culprit. Since this function is not part of Gtk2Hs I don't think this is something for us to fix. Please reopen this bug if I've missed something.
