When compiling the attached file foo.hs, the texts of the view are not shown (column titles and cell contents). I tried to obtain the smallest example program, but it is a little big. Anyway, when removing "">>= toCalendarTime"" the program works ok. Also, the similar program foo2.hs works ok too. And, when running the executable of foo.hs as root, the program stops with the message:

No protocol specified.
foo: Cannot initialize GUI.

I'm using 0.9.13 release compiled with GHC 6.8.2 on debian.
