floating point error

Reported by: guest Owned by: somebody
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: general (Gtk+, Glib) Version: 0.9.13
Keywords: Cc:

Description

When I run this program I get the following output:

(test.exe:3628): Pango-WARNING **: failed to create cairo scaled font, expect ugly output. the offending font is 'Tahoma 7.9990234375'

However, try replacing test_bad with test_good and all is fine.

It seems to be specific to windows and maybe not even gtk2hs.

This is really worrying. How can executing a floating point comparison affect the behavior (e.g. rounding mode) of the remaining code. Very strange. Maybe GHC does something funny here. Still, there's nothing we can do on the Gtk2Hs side. Maybe this is worth asking on ghc-users.
