build failure in glib-0.12.0 using ghc 7.2.1

Description

With ghc 7.2.1 the following error is found: 

  Implicit import declaration:
     Ambiguous module name `Prelude':
       it was found in multiple packages: base haskell98-2.0.0.0
  make: *** [build-ghc-stamp] Error 1
