However, there's a larger problem, namely:

    Unacceptable result type in foreign declaration:
      IO (FunPtr (Ptr () -> IO ()))
    When checking declaration:
      foreign import ccall safe ""wrapper"" mkDestroyNotifyPtr
        :: IO () -> IO DestroyNotify

Wrapper calls are supposed to look like 'a -> IO (FunPtr a)', but with
DestroyNotify expanded it becomes

foreign import ccall ""wrapper"" mkDestroyNotifyPtr
    :: IO () -> IO (FunPtr (((Ptr ()) -> (IO ()))))

So something weird is going on here, but it's moved past trivial fix
so I thought I'd ask the official maintainers.
