Unable to use single quote immediately after hyperlinked identifiers

Description

I am unable to use single quote immediately after hyperlinked identifiers, for example I would like to do write: 

'Element'\'s

and I get in HTML rendered exactly the same thing back instead of Element being hyperlinked and 's printed after the link.
