cabal issue with installation on windows Vista (and probably Win7)

I installed the current version of the Haskell Platform to the default location.

When trying to use cabal to update itself and grab new packages, I noticed that cabal kept putting the files it downloaded into "c:\Program Files\Haskell", which is not the default Haskell Platform install location. I think the issue may lie in the cabal config file, but I haven't uninstalled and checked this. I ended up just installing to c:\Program Files\Haskell to avoid it.

"c:\Program Files\Haskell" is the default directory used by cabal-install, we don't touch this setting, and we don't uninstall cabal-installed packages when the Haskell Platform is uninstalled. Probably the only thing we should do is to ensure that "c:\Program Files\Haskell" precedes the HP bin directory in the PATH so that you get the right cabal-install/alex/happy/etc version when upgrading them by hand, as you did.
