cabal install not work

Description

OS: Windows Vista Home Basic Ru + sp2
HaskellPlatform-2010.1.0.0-setup.exe

After install platform I try use cabal: 

>cabal update
Downloading the latest package list from hackage.haskell.org
Note: there is a new version of cabal-install available.
To upgrade, run: cabal install cabal-install

>cabal install cabal-install
cabal.EXE: failed to parse output of 'ghc-pkg dump'

After clean old C:\Program Files\Haskell cabal work Ok.

Looks like the user had an old version of cabal.exe in PATH.
