Ubuntu 8.10 ghc-6.12.3 haskell-platform-2010.2.0.0

mwhanley$ sudo make install scripts/install.sh Installing mtl-1.1.0.2...

Error: The directory for the component mtl-1.1.0.2 is missing make: *** [install] Error 2
