HP is broken in Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal - released in April 2011

Reported by: Han Joosten Owned by: dons
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: Platform Keywords: ubuntu

Description

I have Ubuntu 11.04 - the Natty Narwhal, which is the current version. When installing the standard haskell libraries and tools, it says: Dependency is not satisfiable: ghc (<6.12.1+)

It seems that it tries to install HP version 2010.1.0.0.1

The screendump is attached to this ticket.

This is not actually a bug in the platform, but rather in the Ubuntu package, see https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/haskell-platform/+bug/742052 for more details.
