Ticket #236 (new defect)

Opened 6 months ago

Platform installation doesn't install documents at all

Reported by: nobrowser Owned by: DavidWaern
Priority: major Milestone:
Component: haddock Keywords: install library haddock documentation
Cc:

Description

I first downloaded and installed the binary ghc-7.6.3 distribution for Linux amd64. The I downloaded and unpacked the platform source tarball 2013.2.0.0 and compiled it, which went without problems. I then installed the platform (ie. run "sudo make install") with the same prefix as ghc (something like /usr/local/haskell-platform/). That mostly worked, but no haddock documents for any of the libaries got installed. And in the output there was a message like the following for each library:

/usr/local/haskell-platform/share/doc/zlib/html/zlib.haddock doesn't exist or is not a file

well, of course it doesn't exist, i'm trying to install the thing for the 1st time!
