This commit probably needs an equivalent fix for distrib/, then merge both to 7.2:

   Os X: With Xcode 4, check for gcc-4.2 also in the setup for binary distributions

The new Hadrian build system has been merged. Relabeling the tickets concerning the legacy make build system to prevent confusion.
