Description

http://www.haskell.org/ghc/docs/latest/html/libraries/base-4.4.0.0/Control-Concurrent.html#g:10

says that ghc uses 'select' in the IO manager. This is no longer true; it uses libevent2? and therefore epoll/kqueue/etc.

The documentation should be updated accordingly.
