Description

The current trac settings are so that when I comment on a bug, I am automatically subscribed to it. This is good, but there should be way to unsubscribe from a bug as well.

Also, and I’m not sure if this is the same thing or not, if I put myself in the “Observer” list (possibly wrong translation), I cannot undo that.

Generally, we might give our users more permissions, e.g. to edit ticket descriptions (and not just the summary).

This is a know issue in Trac. See http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/9971, and all tickets linked from there. Nothing we can do about it.

That is not excatly true, because there is a workaround suggested in your link: change Trac setting always_notify_updater into always_cc_updater. It adds a commenter to a Cc list and then he can remove himself from the list through modifying a ticket. All Cc'ed users receive emails, so a commenter is automatically have subscription but can dissolve it.

That sounds like a very nice solution.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
